The Core Rudiment System is a modern way to organize and develop rudiments. The system focuses on the permutations and modifications of 17 “Core Rudiments.”
It’s available as a combination of a book and a lesson video.

The goal of The Core Rudiment System is not to replace traditional rudiment systems, but to offer an alternative way of approaching and developing rudiments. There are over 1,150 rudiment variations in The Core Rudiment System.
However, the goal is not to learn every pattern in the book. I haven’t even come close to mastering every pattern in this book and I never will. This system is intended to be a practice resource. I believe that it is better to learn ten ways to use one rudiment, then it is to learn one way to use ten rudiments. The reason this book has so many rudiments in it, is because I strongly believe in the importance of having many options to choose from. It makes exploring the instrument way more fun and leads to more unique vocabulary. So don’t worry about learning everything, just pick a few rudiments and start exploring:
